UEFA Champions Leag draw is fixed


The group stage of the Champions League draw was made at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco and the 32 teams were split into 8 groups of four.


However one place in the group stage is yet to be filled, as the second leg of AEK Athens FC's third qualifying round tie with Sevilla FC was postponed to Monday 3 September due to the death of the Spanish club's midfielder Antonio Puerta on Tuesday. The eventual winners will play in Group H against Arsenal FC, FC Steaua Bucure?ti and SK Slavia Praha, newcomers to this stage.

The group stage for Groups A,B,C and D will kick off on Tuesday September 18, and for Groups E,F,G and H on Wednesday September19.

Group A: Liverpool, Porto, Marseille, Besiktas
Group B: Chelsea, Valencia, FC Schalke, Rosenborg
Group C: Real Madrid, Werder Bremen, Lazio, Olympiakos
Group D: AC Milan, Benfica, Celtic, Shakhtar Donetsk
Group E: FC Barcelona, Lyon, Stuttgart, Rangers
Group F: Manchester United, AS Roma, Sporting Lisbon, Dynamo Kiev
Group G: Internazionale, PSV Eindhoven, CSKA Moscow, Fenerbahce
Group H: Arsenal, (Sevilla or AEK Athens), Steaua Bucharest, Slavia Prague

Iranian Volleyball Champ & player earns MVP award

Iran's volleyball player Mojtaba Ghiasi
Iran's volleyball player Mojtaba Ghiasi has been named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2007 Boys' Youth World Volleyball Championship.

Alireza Jadidi, another player in Iran's squad, won the best blocker award at the tournament.

Indian Singh Mandeep was named the best scorer; Chinese Huang Bin the best attacker, Cuban Rolando Cepeda the best server; Argentinean Nicolas Uriarte best setter; American Erik Shoji the best libero and defender and Puerto Rican Dennis Del Valle the best receiver.

Iran's name has been etched in the volleyball history book after becoming the 2007 youth world volleyball champion for the first time.

Iran defeated China 3-2 early Monday in an all Asian final.

Birth and Marriage :

On the 14th August 2007, Ghaz - Yu Nah had their third Child, a baby boy whom their parents named Muhd Iyad Mustakim.

On the 20th August 2007, Kak Ti - Mok Cik Noh organised a thanksgiving lunch to relatives and friends in Machang to celebrate their third child, Ahmad Nazipan marriage to Wan Nor Aida.

Iranian basketball team crowned as Asian Champion

Iran-Lebanon-Basketball
Iran's national basketball team scored a victory over its heavy weight rival Lebanon and won Asian Championship, thus getting green card to attend 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

In final game, Iran's national squad got 74 points against 69 and grabbed the title.

The final match of Fiba Asian Cup was held in Tokushima, Japan on August five, 2007.
